A 7-year-old boy from Quebec, Canada was seen in a video posted on YouTube, driving an SUV along a country road. The boy was identified as Samuel from the North Shore, by his father.

The boy is seen driving a Honda CR-V at speeds of up to 70 km (43.5 miles) per hour.

Samuel's mother can be seen in the back seat of the vehicle with a young girl on her lap and another boy seated next to her.

None of the 5 occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts. Sgt. Chantal Mackels of the Quebec Provincial Police spoke of how the investigation began Monday, following information passed to the police by the media, and added: Once the investigation is over with, we'll give it to the Crown prosecutor who will analyze it and decide if he's issuing a criminal offence.

One fact to be considered by prosecutors before bringing any charges relating to the incident, either criminal or civil, is the age of the driver. If the Crown prosecutor does decide to put forth accusations criminally, it can be either dangerous driving or criminal negligence. Usually, when you have dangerous driving, the accusation goes to the driver. But because the driver is a minor and hes not responsible legally, theres another article in the criminal code that makes the supervisors an accomplice.

The father came forward and gave an interview stating that the video was shot 2 years ago and that he was joking when he said the car was going at 70 Kmph.

It is possible that YouTube Inc does not like this video because it depicts someone engaged in a possible misdemeanor and YouTube itself was the medium used to detect that infraction.

Since the story arises from the real life consequences of posting videos on YouTube, rather than the actual misdemeanor, the video is illustrative of a modern phenomenon created by YouTube, rather than simply a video of a reckless act.

YouTube's personal involvement in this case may explain why YouTube dislikes this video, yet the site permits dozens of other news story videos about children driving cars to remain live.
